One of JenMarie’s ongoing projects, developed over the past several years, is called studio studies. She photographs creative spaces—the places where people are inspired to make, experiment, and bring ideas to life.

JenMarie is drawn to the creativity that hides in nooks and corners and sometimes sits in plain sight.

More broadly, she loves thinking about and documenting the spaces we inhabit when creating. She is fascinated by the relationship between people and the places where they create: the objects they gather, the light in which they work, the traces of process they leave behind, and the ways a space can become an extension of a creative practice. Studio studies is inspired by Carl Jung’s words: “The creative mind plays with the objects it loves.”
